Things to see and do – 29 – 03.11

It is going to start getting cold in Vienna very soon, but at least there are plenty of gigs to warm the cockles. Here are our recommendations for this week.

CLUB NOLABEL // Paraseed + Polkov + Manchester Snow  @b72- 29.10

Another top line-up for Club Nolabel in b72 with Paraseed, Polkov and recent winners of the Austrian Newcomer Award in the U21 category  Manchester Snow. It will be guaranteed good fun for very little money, and supporting young, unsigned bands is always good for the soul we find.
If you would rather get sand in your cracks then head to the first Austrian surf and fuzz night in Rhiz with Beach Girls and the Monster, Balu & die Surfgrammeln, Dave & The Pussies

“RÜCKLICHT” EP Release-Show @b72- 30.10

SS

We recently did an interview with Sivius SonvillaRead HERE and stimulate your brain. Indie-pop bangers will be coming thick and fast for this one, and should be checked out for definite.

AUSTRA @Flex – 31.10

Austra
After the excellent “Feel it Break” comes their sophomore album “Olympia” which is another example of Katie Stelmanis’ wonderful voice, and Austra’s ability to make superb music – let’s just hope they don’t turn it into a fancy dress party….. (Update on 30.10.2013 – yep, they turned it into a fancy dress party…..)

Las Vegas Label night @Fluc – 01.11

The Las Vegas Records tour hits Vienna with  MAUR DUE & LICHTER, MY NAME IS MUSIC and POP:SCH hitting the stage and making Fluc bounce.
Pixies will also be playing in Gasometer, but you knew already, didn’t you…..

Cassie Ramone and O.J Xray Eyeballs @ Fluc – 02.11

CR

Cassie Ramone (Vivian Girls) and Xray Eyeballs will be embarking on a European tour to celebrate the release of their split 7″. This one could be quite a special little gig.

Friska Viljor @ WUK – 03.11

WUK seems to have a liking for Sunday night gigs. Friska Viljor certainly make music which is good enough to coax you out of the house on a Sunday evening.  Happy music, happy feet, happy faces.
