Gigs, gigs, gigs and more gigs.
Attwenger @ Chelsea – 03.12
Start the week off with some traditional upper-Austrian electro polka rock from the legends of the genre themselves.
PICK A PIPER @ Rhiz – 04.12
Caribou drummer Brad Weber’s side project Pick a Piper will be playing in Rhiz on Wednesday and a little hint of that Caribou sound can be heard in this project as well. Atmospheric sound design, loopy melodies and a focus on electronics create a sound poised between the organic and the synthetic.
If you want to stay with the Upper Austrian feeling then look no further than Austrofred, who will be bringing out all of the classics in Chelsea.
Farewell Dear Ghost @ B72 – 05.11
Without doubt one of the best albums to come out of Austria this year. Farewell Dear Ghost will be celebrating the release of “We Colour The Night” in B72 on Thursday. If there is one gig you go to this week, make sure it is this one.

Thao with the Get Down Stay Down will be playing in Chelsea on Wednesday night as well with their brand of catchy indie.
EMG Labelnacht @Fluc – 06.12
Viennese label EMG has invited some of the best bands in the city to cover their favourite songs of the year in Fluc. Fijuka, Squalloscope , Wealth, Eloui, Ernesty International and many more will be taking part.
Matthew Caws (Nada Surf) @Fluc – 08.12
It always make me rather sceptical when an artist needs to mention the band he is from in order to attract attention to their own projects, but if you like Nada Surf then this is the only way you should be spending your Sunday evening.
