Things to See and Do – 28.01 – 03.02

International acts, local heroes and Danish delights. It’s all there in our weekly recommendations.

COLD CAVE (us) + THUNDERDRONE@ Arena – 28.01

Cold Cave has become a name synonymous with the contemporary resurgence of Darkwave and Synth Pop sub-genres, propelling them to perform at world class museums The Getty and the Guggenheim. Seems like reason enough to check out.
Local music lovers can get a dose of the good stuff at the monthly Club Nolabel. New Native, Succopuss, Solar Blaze will be taking to the stage this time around.

Likewise @ B72 – 29.01

The Vienna-based folk troop will be playing in B72 on Wednesday with 5 new tracks in the bag as well as their album „Prometheus Run“.
My Name is Music will be putting on a show in Chelsea for music fans of a more eccentric kind of music

Spot on Denmark @ WUK – 31.01

On Friday the WUK in Vienna will be welcoming some of the hottest new acts and established bands from the land of Lego for the 5th edition of the “Spot on Denmark” festival, an evening of musical magnificence and Danish debauchery. It is going to be a good one with a WORLD PREMIERE performance from Slow Celebration, along with the wonderful Lydmor, the electro-duo Broke and Dad Rocks! We gave this one a closer look HERE

Bilderbuch @ Brut – 02.01

If you’re a regular on SiM then there is no need for me to tell you why this is a MUST. Unfortunately there are only tickets left on the door, so be sure to get there early (doors open at 8).

We recently got them to answer world-changing questions such as whether moon boots are a fashion triumph or not and many other mind bogglingly important questions in our interview.
