It’s been a busy few weeks and our things to see and do has been neglected of late, like the remote that falls between the sofa and you know you could get if you tried, but damn it involves a lot of trying.
We’re off to check out the Great Escape festival in the mother land, but before we do we have had a spring clean and yanked TTDAS out of the dark abyss between the cushions. It has been dusted down and given pride of place again so everyone can see. Here is what is in store this week.

THE WOOLEN MEN + CRY BABY @ Arena – 07.05
Loud, dirty, melancholic with a touch of new wave. They have hooked up with Woodsist for their forthcoming full-length self-titled debut, and the band fit perfectly in their catalogue.
Poolbar@ Pratersauna – 08.05 – 11.05
Poolbar will be welcoming a number of top bands to the Pratersauna for the coolest of cool kids to look cool to over the next few days with Hercules and Love Affair, Guy Gerber and Gerard.
The Boys You Know will be celebrating the release of their album in Fluc on Thursday night with support from Robotra.
BULBUL & MILE ME DEAF Release Show Extravaganza @ Ernst-Kirchweger-Haus – 09.05
Two top class bands on the Siluh Records label will be teaming up for a big old release show extravaganza on Friday night. Both bands have brought out pretty damn good music recently. A double release show is probably so much goodness that you will end up a salivating mess of brain jelly by the end after having your mind blown.
Giantree will be announcing their return to the scene with some very good new songs and plenty of energy as they take to the stage at Flex on Friday night.
And now for something completely different. Tanz Durch Den Tag‘s Sommererwachen will be taking place this weekend on the Donauinsel. It was postponed last week due to financial and weather reasons, unfortunately the weather is looking just as unpredictable this weekend as well, but who in the world ever complained about wet t-shirts? That’s right, no one. Ever. The jury is still out as to whether the new three day festival will be as good as the more spontaneous affairs of old. Check out more info here.
I Wanna Boogie With You + Georg Freizeit @ Chelsea – 11.05
“I need to work tomorrow is no excuse” say the bands on their event page. That is a very valid point.
