The summer break is officially in motion, and that means a lot of the regular club nights have come to an end, and the festival season is in full flow. There are still a fair few things worth checking out. Here is the pick of the bunch.

INK BDAY BASH : ink=13 @ b72 – 03.07
The traditional INK birthday bash will take place on Thursday night with lots of surprises on and off stage. The place to be for fans of the local music scene.
After Billy Idol on Tuesday the next 80’s legends take to the open air stage on Thursday in the form of Madness. Packed full of tracks which you know off by heart, this one is bound to be a feel good gig.
“I want to be a cat because cats don’t fall in love, they just eat and sleep and that’s is it” sings Kidcat Lo-Fi in one of the most catchy tunes of last year. She will be supported by Silvius Sonvilla.
Fernwärme Open Air: Jimmy Cliff | Osibisa | Célia Mara @ Fernwärme Wien – 06.07
The yearly Open Air at the Fernwärme takes place this week as part of the Jazzfest with Reggae icon Jimmy Cliff. The 1972 film “The harder They Come” made him globally famous. In the film, he acted in an autobiographical role. He also was responsible for the soundtrack and classics such as “You Can Get It If you Really want It” and the ballad “Many Rivers To Cross”. Osibisa and Celia Mara will also be taking to the stage.
SIMIAN MOBILE DISCO will be tearing up the Pratersauna once the football has finished as they tour their new album.
