Things to See and Do – 24.11 – 30.11

Well, fuck. You turn your head for a minute and realize almost a month has passed since the last recommendations. Muchos apologies for that.

Klaxons @ Arena – 24.11

Klaxons are a band with the ability to split opinion. Their debut release seemed to be riding the waves of synth pop on the late 00’s and was both annoying and brilliant at the same time. Things haven’t changed seven years down the line as they continue to make good music. They have recently hinted that this may well be their last tour. So you might not want to miss them.

OR

Mando Diao (yep, they are still going) in Gasometer.

————————————————————————————–

Marteria @ Gasometer – 25.11

It is worth learning German just to be able to listen to Marteria and his alter-ego Marsimoto, and even worth enduring the Gasometer for it.

OR

Kreisky play at Radiokulturhaus, which somehow seems like a weird combination.

OR

Jazz is on the cards in B72 as Club Nolabel invites Bob RobinsonFin and Project Dream Of Aquarius to the stage.

Saved by a Song @ Shelter- 26.11

Shelter is always good for a gig, but doesn’t always get a lot of attention. Here’s our little contribution. Saved by a Song will be playing there on Wednesday.

There are a few legends of Austrian music on display in the Stadtsaal, as Ernst Molden, Willi Resetarits, Walther Soyka & Hannes Wirth join forces.

Bulbul @ Chelsea – 27.11

There 7th album Hirn Fein Hacken was a damn fine piece of work. Head down to Chelsea if you don’t want to hear much for a while.

————————————————————————————–

‘Allo Darlin @ Chelsea – 29.12

Allo Darlin

‘Allo Darlin make twee with a skip in its step. Would you expect anything else from a gig organized by Teenbeat? Their new album “We Come From the Same Place” was released in October.

————————————————————————————–

Rival Sons @ Arena – 30.12

Modern blues rock for a Sunday evening.
