02.11 – 03.11 – Europavox Vienna 2018 – WUK
The French Europavox festival continues its recent tradition of hosting partner festivals across Europe and Vienna will once again be one of these destinations with top acts like Yasmo, Die Nerven and many more.
07.11 – Ich lasse mich nicht brechen. Frauen im Widerstand.
An event to remember the events of 1938 and the important role women played in resistance to National Socialism.
Also today: Spanish band Mourn play at Fluc
08.11 – Jamie Cook DJ set – Viennale Closing Party
If you like Arctic Monkeys, then you’ll want to be at this party where guitarist Jamie Cook will be dishing up his favourite tunes in a DJ set.
09.11 – Euroteuro album release – Das Werk
This band has an uncanny talent of making songs that will stick in your head, for good or bad, depending on how you see it. Check them out at Das Werk.
10.11 – Churches – Gasometer
The Scottish synth-poppers will be heading to the Gasometer with their new album ‘Love is Dead’ in the bag for FM4 Indiekiste. They’ll be supported by Viennese band Anger.
13.11 – Unknown Mortal Orchestra – Flex
Ruban Nielson returns to Vienna with his kaleidoscopic approach to music another gig that will be full of fuzz, psychedelia and everything in between.
14.11 – IDLES – Flex
Rising stars on the UK music scene IDLES come to Vienna with their new album ‘Joy as an Act of Resistance’ to show everyone why the hype around them is justified. They’ll be supported by JOHN, who we had the pleasure of interviewing recently. INTERVIEW HERE.
16.11 – Fesch’markt – Ottakringer Brewery
Fashion, food, music and general posing takes over for three days at the Ottakringer Brewery. Always worth a visit if you can deal with the crowds.
22 – 24.11 – Blue Bird Festival
Dan Mangan, Holly Miranda, Paul Plut and a whole lot more. A must if you love singer/songwriters and indie folk music.
26.11 – Last Rizla – Venster99
If you like your music hard and heavy, then Greek outfit Last Rizla at Venster99 is for you.
28.11 – Vague + Culk – B72
Two of Vienna’s hottest properties take to the stage on the Gürtel. Definitely a gig that should not be missed if possible.
