Neuschnee, at least we’ll be treated to a fresh musical sprinkling of snow this winter, because it doesn’t seem like we’re going to get any real snow in grey old Vienna… The Austrian band return […]
Mmmmm, you hear that? That’s the treacle-delicious sound of guitar riffs on a bed of dreamy lyrics and spherical sound haze

Never before have Birkenstock looked this cool. I’ll admit, I dislike them, I don’t know why, they just annoy me. It's not you Birkenstock, it's me. But, Ebow somehow manages to make them look cool adorned in a PSG tracksuit and some slick moves to go with her sick rhymes in the video to her new double single, Punani Power/Bad Lan off her new album, Komplexität.
Punani Power, which, you might expect to be about Punani (women’s genitalia) given the title – at least you would where I come from – is actually about sisterhood and the possibility that the word may actually originate from the Hawaiian term for flower, Puanani. You learn something new everyday, don’t you?
Bad Lan is a song which combines words from two languages, the English, bad, and the Turkish, Lan, which comes from oğlan, a term for a boy, but can also be gender neutral. A Bad Lan is, therefore, a person you love to hate because they are simply just too good at what they do.
Anyway, that’s enough of the language lesson. Check out the two tracks in the video below and enjoy the fat beats on offer. You won't be disappointed.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9mQsnBMFGo8
Ebow will be playing the following gigs in the next few months:
09.02.2018 AT, Vienna @ Fluc 10.03.2018 DE, Wiesbaden @ Tapefabrik Festival 28.04.2018 DE, Munich @ Gasteig / Lange Nacht der Musik
Music videos made like short films or in artistic ways are always lovely to watch, take this one by Molly for example. It’s truly something special.
The latest video to catch our fancy is the video to Krief’s latest song,Automanic. The former ex-lead guitarist for The Dears has created an atmospheric song that perfectly accompanies the tragic video. Automanic animates the album artwork reliving the tense moments before a car crash. In the video, the driver struggles to focus on the road as painful memories break her concentration. Krief appears as a ghostlike passenger in the car, reminding us that we can’t run away from our demons. The blinding headlights signal the collision and the impact beautifully overlaps dizzying camera effects during an orchestral bridge. In the final chorus, the message comes back to us in the lyrics, “it’s in your hands now.”

New Year? Yes. New Music? Yes. Regular posts? Maybe.
We’ll start the new year with a dark, poetic piece of music from Danish artist IAMJJ. He’s got a voice that sounds like he’s been smoking 40 a day for the last 30 years, which is interesting for an artist who looks like it wasn’t that long ago that he came out of nappies. Perhaps it’s his drastic approach to his art and life that has given him his Tom Waitsesque growl?Check out his latest single, Bloody Future below.
IAMJJ will be playing at the Eurosonic festival on January 17th and is being tipped as one of Denmark’s most promising new talents.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Bc0DbqX1nc
His debut album, also called Bloody Future, will be released in March, 2018.
"I had really good sex to this song"That's the first thing you see when you look at the comments section on YouTube. How can you top that kind of review? The plain and simple answer is, you can't. Which is why we'll stop writing and let Wandl's music do the talking. Watch the video below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QuZV4w0Tohs&feature=youtu.be 22-year-old Vienna-resident Wandl developed into one of the most progressive and interesting European producers in recent years. His long play-debut It’s All Good Tho brings his take on melodic vocals and experimental, bass-driven instrumentals to the fore. His EPs “Milk”, “Soon” and his Affine-debut "Far Way Home“ stretch out his personal vision of brainfeeder-nerdism and state of the art bedroom-soul. On “It’s All Good Tho” he plays almost all the instruments, channels his vocals through machines, alienates and exposes them – and he’s not shy of monumental hooks. Like Elephants are back with their dreamy Indie pop sound influenced by 80s New Wave/Post Punk and contemporary dream Pop bands.
Yes, please! You can't beat a good cuppa. And anyone that writes a song using the beautiful light brown elixir – that's right, the only real tea is black with milk – is a winner is our book. Head back to the summer when it was sunny, and blue, and everything had a much warmer filter to it, like this video to Nelio's single, Fuat Foan, which in English basically means to get away, go somewhere far away from home: on a road trip, on holiday, to a festival, hell, maybe even just popping to the shop a couple of miles down the road than round the corner. Anything is an adventure if you look at it the right way! Watch the video below https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eP4Blpwah3g
